Quoting Engineer – Ventilated Units

The Quoting Engineer – Ventilated Units is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive technical and commercial quotations for customized ventilated unit solutions. The role acts as a key interface between Sales, Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain, ensuring that customer requirements are correctly translated into optimized offers in terms of performance, cost, and lead time.

  • Technical background (Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Industrial Engineering, or similar)
  • Proven experience in technical quoting or sales engineering within HVAC or ventilation industries
  • Strong knowledge of ventilated units, air handling systems, fans, and related components
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Good understanding of cost structures and industrial manufacturing processes
  • Proficient in ERP systems and MS Office (Excel in particular)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Open to training and continuous professional development

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required.

Language Skills

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Additional languages are considered a plus

  • Detail-oriented with strong accuracy in calculations

  • Ability to manage multiple quotations and deadlines simultaneously

What will you be doing in this role?

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed technical and commercial quotations for special and customized ventilated units
  • Analyze customer specifications, technical drawings, and project requirements
  • Select appropriate components (fans, motors, coils, casings, accessories) according to performance and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with Sales to define optimal technical solutions and commercial strategies
  • Interface with Engineering and Production to validate feasibility, costs, and delivery times
  • Request and evaluate supplier quotations for special components
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards, certifications, and internal guidelines
  • Maintain and update costing tools, price lists, and technical databases
  • Support Sales during technical clarifications and pre-order phases
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of quoting processes and tools
  • Efficient and skilled direct communication with the Customer
