Enex Technologies Publishes its UN Global Compact Communication on Progress

A concrete step toward sustainability: transparency, inclusion, and ESG governance at the core of Enex Technologies global strategy

Treviso, 16 July 2025 – Enex Technologies is proud to announce the publication of its first Communication on Progress (CoP) under the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative.

The 2025 CoP covers the period from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024, and provides disclosures on strategic initiatives and policies that demonstrate the multinational company’s progress in embedding sustainability into its operations and governance.

“For Enex Technologies, sustainability is a key business imperative and a unique opportunity to accelerate integration in our team of more than 1000 people and natural refrigerants pioneers.” said François Audo, CEO at Enex Technologies. “Our first CoP is a further recognition of the company’s commitment towards transparent communication, customer advocacy and environmental protection across our global footprint.

Reflecting its commitment to continuous improvement, the Communication on Progress highlights several key initiatives that illustrate how Enex Technologies is translating purpose into performance:

  • Focus on energy efficiency and waste management: During 2024, Enex Technologies gradually implemented actions aimed at energy efficiency enhancing, replacing the lighting in its production plants with LEDs. Furthermore, during the reporting period, Enex Technologies recycled approximately 90% of the special waste generated through targeted and structured initiatives, clearly confirming its concrete effort to responsible waste management and environmental sustainability. Finally, as part of its broader ESG achievements, Enex Technologies contributed to saving 177,475 tons of CO₂ equivalent emissions in 2024, through the adoption and diffusion of high-efficiency systems using natural refrigerants
  • Gender Diversity and Inclusion:The report highlights key material issues such as non-discrimination, health & safety and gender equality, all mapped to UNGC principles and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) targets. In 2024, 20% managerial positions are held by women, a figure that stablish a baseline and motivates continuous improvement.
  • Governance and Accountability: The Senior Leadership team is directly involved in supervising ESG performance, including Board-level oversight, and yearly ESG risk assessments. Moreover, to further strengthen its governance and its organizational model 231 (the Italian legislative framework that sets out organizational, management, and control procedures to prevent corporate crimes and administrative liability), the company is committed to implementing the UNGC anti-corruption course for its employees.

These recent achievements in sustainability are strengthening Enex Technologies’ position among customers and investors. The recent signing of an ESG covenant this month is a testament to how the company’s pledge to environmental and social responsibility is now recognized as a valuable asset by the financial community, fostering virtuous synergies and even stronger foundations for future growth.

Looking ahead, Enex Technologies is committed to expanding the scope and depth of its next CoP. Key goals include the submission of emissions reduction targets to the Science Based Target Initiatives (SBTi) by the end of 2025, the alignment of the company’s Code of Ethics and governance frameworks to all subsidiaries in Italy, and the publication of the first sustainability report according to the Voluntary reporting standard for SMEs (VSME) framework by 2026.
