Enex Technologies to Showcase Its Broadest-Ever Natural-Refrigerant Portfolio at Chillventa 2026
Read the press release hereNew solutions based on CO₂, ammonia, propane, water and isobutane will address industrial refrigeration, heat pumps, process applications and data-centre cooling
Treviso, Italy, 24 September 2026 – Enex Technologies will showcase its broadest-ever portfolio of natural-refrigerant solutions at Chillventa 2026, taking place from 13 to 15 October in Nuremberg.
Spanning five natural refrigerants—CO₂, ammonia, propane, water and the newly introduced isobutane (R600a) the portfolio demonstrates how the right technology can improve efficiency, simplify deployment and reduce environmental impact across industrial refrigeration, commercial cooling, heat pumps, process applications and data centres.
Technology highlights at Stand 7-210
Enex Technologies will bring together new product launches, recent award-winning technologies and concept previews:
- New V-Shaped Adiabatic Dry Cooler: an award-winning heat-rejection solution engineered to maximise heat exchange while reducing water consumption and installation footprint, with applications in process cooling and data centres.
- New RENO CO₂ Monoblock: a plug-and-play refrigeration unit integrating an onboard gas cooler and rated for pressures of up to 140 bar, designed to deliver high efficiency even in high-ambient-temperature conditions.
- MEGA NH₃ Chiller: an award-winning, factory-built outdoor solution combining a low ammonia charge, high seasonal efficiency and simplified installation for industrial refrigeration and process cooling.
- KUBE CO₂ Subcritical Unit: a compact platform for low-temperature industrial and commercial refrigeration, food processing and process cooling.
- Everest R290: an air-to-water four-pipe heat pump featuring a modular three-unit configuration, low refrigerant charge, compact footprint and high part-load efficiency.
- New R600a High-Temperature Booster Heat Pump: a water-to-water solution using isobutane for process heating, waste-heat recovery and domestic hot-water production.
The introduction of R600a expands Enex Technologies’ portfolio from four to five natural refrigerants. Across the solutions presented, visitors will see a consistent focus on lower refrigerant charges, improved seasonal performance, compact packaged designs, reduced energy and water consumption, and simpler installation and operation.
Data-centre cooling will be a particular focus of the exhibition. As AI-driven workloads increase power density and thermal loads, Enex Technologies will present technologies designed to combine operational reliability with greater energy and resource efficiency, including dry coolers, fan wall solutions, heat recovery and free-cooling approaches.
François Audo — CEO, Enex Technologies
“Chillventa is the ideal stage to demonstrate that natural refrigerants are not a one-size-fits-all proposition. CO₂, ammonia, propane, water and now isobutane each offer specific advantages. By combining these technologies with deep application expertise, we can help customers select the right solution for each use case, improving efficiency, reducing environmental impact and strengthening long-term regulatory resilience.”
Enex Technologies experts to present two studies at the Chillventa Specialist Forum
Beyond the product showcase, Enex Technologies will contribute its engineering expertise to the Chillventa Specialist Forum through two presentations addressing key challenges in refrigeration efficiency and sustainable cooling.
On 14 October, Emanuele Sicco will present “Lifecycle Cost Comparison of Natural Refrigerant Systems for Low-Temperature Industrial Refrigeration.”
The study compares NH₃, transcritical CO₂, NH₃/CO₂ cascade and R290/CO₂ cascade technologies across different plant sizes. By combining CAPEX, OPEX, European climate data and electricity-price sensitivity, it will provide an application-specific framework for technology selection.
On 15 October, Massimiliano Sfragara will present “Ice Safety Systems: Enabling the Use of Water in Finned-Tube Coil Applications.”
The presentation will introduce two patented solutions designed to protect coils against internal ice formation while enabling the use of pure water instead of glycol. This approach can improve heat-transfer efficiency, reduce pumping energy and simplify system management, with particular potential for industrial cooling and data-centre free-cooling applications.
