Lean & Manufacturing Transformation Manager

We are searching a talented and courageous Lean & Manufacturing Transformation Manager who share our values, with innovative capacity for working with us by integrating in a diverse team that work together.

This position will have the following responsibilities:

Reporting to the Group Operations Director, develop, set the pace and implement lean and continuous improvement strategy with sensitivity towards the organizational structure, commercial approach, culture, people and processes.

Outline direction and deployment of the Lean framework to ensure consistent and rigorous application across the business in line with best practice.

Responsible for the successful management and implementation of business improvement projects/initiatives across the business by developing an enthusiastic, motivated, and flexible team and building working relationships ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.

Industrial/Mechanical Degree.

At least 5 – 7 years’ experience in the role in multinational/multisite structured industrial environment.

Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and principles (TPS; Kaizen; Kanban; KPIs; PDCA; Root Cause Analysis; Value Stream Mapping; etc.).

Knowledge of planning and production scheduling is a plus.

Background in people management and project management.

Qualified CI Trainer is advantageous.

Responsibilities and deliverables include

  • Act as the main referent to streamline the production processes, to develop and implement continuous improvement multisite and multidepartment projects (e.g. productivity increase; machine timing reduction; quality improvement; cost reduction etc.) and own the related execution.
  • Report on progress of projects, understanding the risks, dependencies, budgets, resourcing, issues, critical milestones and forthcoming pipeline, and actions necessary to ensure success.
  • Implement and support cultural change across the organization and drive business improvement.
  • Monitor existing equipment and machines in order to develop cheaper and leaner processes and layout, ensuring their compliancy with the standards defined in the processes/layout design.
  • Plans and manages major organizational / process layout improvement change utilizing Six Sigma and Lean Design tools and methodology.
  • Ensure the definition of the correct production/machine cycle to create new products and identify technical solutions to solve eventual issues relating to production and processes.
  • Collect, analyze and interpret figures and data relating to production and elaborate the related reporting to be shared with Operations.
  • Define, develop and publish business improvement process documentation to reflect best practice.
  • Leads and coordinate rapid improvement event (RIE) teams and coach continuous improvement activities leveraging & teaching appropriate methods.
  • Establish measurement plans for key performance indicators (KPIs) and execute control plans to monitor, track and update KPIs related to dedicated operational excellence, reengineering and end-to-end process improvement initiatives on a periodic basis.
  • Ensure the transfer of new solutions or processes into ongoing operations within the organization.
