Impact Counter of Natural Refrigerants’ Adoption
CUMULATIVE EMISSION SAVED
0 TCO₂e
What the Counter represents?
Our Impact Counter of Natural Refrigerants’ Adoption measures the emissions of tons of CO₂ equivalent saved through the replacement of refrigeration systems using synthetic refrigerants with our natural refrigerant solutions, contributing positively to Enex technologies’ scope 4.
What is Scope 4?
Scope 4 emissions, or “avoided emissions” represent a recent concept in environmental sustainability and carbon accounting, introduced by the World Resources Institute in 2013. Unlike traditional scopes (Scope 1, 2, and 3), which measure emissions directly or indirectly linked to a company’s operations and value chain, Scope 4 focuses on the reduction in emissions achieved through the use of products or services.
How long have you been keeping track of this data?
- Since 2007, we have started tracking avoided emissions generated by our highly sustainable CO₂-based systems.
- In 2023, we expanded our methodology to include the avoided emissions achieved through the adoption of R290 (propane) as a natural refrigerant.
- In 2024, we have further enhanced our calculation model by including ammonia (NH₃) data.
Yearly Emission Saved (MtCO2 eq.) | Cumulative Emission Saved (MtCO2 eq.) |

These tables illustrate both the annual growth rate of avoided emissions (updated quarterly) and the long-term cumulative impact achieved since 2007.
How often is the counter updated?
Our Impact Counter is updated every quarter to ensure the highest level of transparency and reliability.
This ongoing monitoring reflects our long standing effort to decarbonization, enabling us to track real progress over time and to underline the positive influence of our natural refrigerants solutions adoption.
