Product and Manufacturing Quality Engineer

We are searching a talented and courageous Product and Manufacturing Quality Engineer who share our values, with innovative capacity for working with us by integrating in a diverse team that work together.

  • Preferred qualifications: engineering degree/ technical diploma
  • Necessary work experience (if any): at least two years’ experience in technical-quality field
  • Technical background, with preferable knowledge of production processes (copper pipe machining, brazing, assembly)
  • Notions of metrology
  • Knowledge of mechanical drawing,
  • Experience in the application of lean tools (P-FMEA, Root cause analysis, PDCA, Kaizen workshops, etc.)
  • Knowledge of the Office package (in particular Excel, Power Point and Word)
  • Knowledge of specific programs for statistics management is preferred
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Management of objectives, priorities and be able to organize own work according to deadlines and possible tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility according to company demands and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to identify and overcome obstacles, with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Good knowledge of English, written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of thermodynamics is preferred

This position will have the following responsibilities :

Reporting to the Quality Manager , he/she is in charge of product quality and manufacturing processes quality:

  • the quality level of the products through the setting and implementation of controls on the internal production process and on the suppliers
  • supervises the management of Non Conformities, ensuring their initial treatment and promoting the necessary corrective actions.

Responsibilities and deliverables include

  1. Plan and carry out quality checks and inspections during internal production process and at the supplier factories
  2. Develops quality control plans by defining the measurement to do
  3. Draws up control specifications for incoming inspection acceptance and testing of the finished product and carry out quality checks on the finished product
  4. Analyse the customer claims received to verify that the declared defects are correctly described, and ensure the processing of the claims
  5. Ensure the effective treatment of Non Conformities detected in production, promoting improvement activities
  6. Collaborate in the analysis of claims by carrying out tests, research and analysis
  7. Regularly produce the reports and statistical analysis necessary to understand the quality trend and effectiveness of the improvement actions implemented
  8. Collaborate with other department in the development of the FMEA process
  9. Collaborate with other department in the approval of new suppliers
  10. Collaborate with other departments in defining improvement activities and preventive and corrective actions
  11. Collaborate and participate in the development of new products/processes
  12. Make statistical calculations for the company quality index
  13. Ensure the calibration of measuring instruments
  14. Management of coordination meetings on quality assurance aspects
